Taking your measurements

Hi! Thanks for placing your order with us. Next step is taking your measurements, and you are just in the right place to do so.

You’ll see this is an easy thing to do, but you cannot take them all by yourself. You will need someone to take them on you, so you’ll need the help of a friend, your boyfriend or husband, a neighbour.
You will also need a measuring tape and some elastic tape. Probably you (or your mother, grandma or neighbour) have them already, but in case you don’t you will easily find them at any sewing supplies shop.

Once you are ready to start, you just need to follow the instructions on this form.
It is important to take your measurements right in order to get a fitting garment, but don’t be scared! Just follow the instructions and the result will be good.

Take them in the same order as they appear in this page, it will be easier for you. Also, you should take them wearing a thin layer of clothes, or just in your underwear.
*Important* I need your real body measurements, so measuring tape must be fitted to your body. Not loose, not super tight. Just fitted.

When you are done filling this form, don’t forget to hit the ‘submit’ button to send us your data.

If you have any doubts during the process, just give us a shout or call Maria on (+34) 656 63 56 73 (through Skype will be very cheap) and we will gladly help you clearing them out. Then you may want to save your current filled in fields as a draft so you can continue with them later on (you can do so with a button at the end of the form).

Ready? Let’s start!

Taking measurements for your brand new pair of Guyé slacks is the easiest thing to do.
You can take them from a favourite pair of yours, and all you will need is a measuring tape.

It doesn't matter if you take them in inches or cm. You don't even need to write what system are they in, as I will easily know wich one makes sense for the data you entered.

Take them the same way they are on the pictures. They speak by themselves, but there is some kind of description on every field.

If you have any doubts during the process, just give us a shout and we will gladly help you clearing them out. Then please save your current filled in fields as a draft so you can continue with them later on.

1.Waist contour

First thing, you must tie the elastic tape around your waist. This way you will always know exactly where your waistline is, as all vertical measurements are taken from/to the waist.
Your natural waistline is placed 1-2 inches above your belly button. *Important* Please tie your elastic tape around that level (not higher, not lower).
Please check the elastic tape is leveled the same front and back. The person who's helping you will do it by looking at your waist from the side.

Put the measuring tape around your waist, over the elastic tape, to measure the waist.

2. Chest contour

Put the measuring tape around the chest, confortably below the arms, on the wider part of your chest. It must be completely horizontal. Note: model on picture has her arms raised up, but you should have them down.

3. Overbust contour

Place the measuring tape over your chest and comfortably under your arms.

Underbust

Place the measuring tape under your bust.
It is the vertical distance between the underbust and the waist. It should be taken from one chest down.

6.Back width

If you touch your shoulder on the back side you will find a prominent bone in it. Back width is the distance between this bone on the left side and the same on the right, and it is usually between a range of 14.5 to 15.75 in. If you think you have regular back and you get a measurement ouside of this range, it probably means you took it wrong, please take it again or contact us in case of doubt.

7.Shoulder height

From the same bone you found on the previous step, vertically straight until your waist (where the elastic tape is placed):

8. Frame height

To get this measurement you should find a small bone in the back side of your neck that protrudes when you move your head ahead. Frame height is the distance between this bone and your waist.

9.Underarm height

Distace between your underarm and your waist.

10. Neck contour

Put the measuring tape around your neck at its base.

Arms

Fold your arms in a 90° angle, and measure from the small bone on your shoulder that you found in a previous step, until your elbow.
Same as measure no. 11, but until the point where your hand starts.

Hips

Over tne widest point on your hips, wich is usually around your bottom.
Down the side, from your waist, until the point where you measured your hips contour.

Thigh

Please take it about 4"/10cm below your crotch.
Down the side, from your waist, until the point where you measured your thigh contour.

Knees

Around the middle of your knee.
Down the side, from your waist, until the point where you measured your knee contour.

Calf

Around the widest part of your calf.
Distance from your waist and the place where you took the calf contour.

Garment lenght

Desired lenght for your skirt or trousers, measured from the waist and down the side.

Cup size

24.Crotch height

It is the vertical distance between your waist and the level where your crotch is.
You can place a ruler horizontally at your crotch level, and take the measure (down the side, the same way you took all the leg vertical measurements) from the waist to the ruler level.

1. Waist contour

Put the waist on your slacks straight and against a flat surface.

14. Outseam

With your slacks folded, measure it down the side.

15. Inseam

Lift one leg and measure from the crotch seam down.

Knees

The Knee height is automatically calculated from your outseam.
It indicates the distance from the waist to the knees.
You don't have to enter anything here. Use this measurement to know where to take the knee width.
This is the one you need to measure.

18. Bottom leg opening

19. Crotch height

Measure it vertically and straight, from the waist to the crotch level. Don't follow the crotch curve.

22.Your height

Please enter your total height
